About the Campaign

About a third of Guatemalans are farmers, earning $13 a day or less. Low wages and 80% unemployment in rural areas are driving youth to the U.S.  More and more future leaders are moving away in search of better opportunities, threatening the long-term survival of 50 indigenous communities served by Local Hope.

Your contributions will create new jobs that pay a living wage so that young people can choose to stay and live dignified lives in the safety and comfort of their own communities.
